New updates and improvements to Obliterator

    ✔ It is now possible to supply Obliterator with Google Vault export metadata CSVs as input lists for remediation via Gmail API. The metadata CSV file can be imported as is without changing field names, format, delimiters, etc. If a subset of the data needs to be remediated, the metadata CSV must be reduced to only the records to be deleted before being supplied to Obliterator.

    ✔ The ID column is no longer required on input lists.

    Exchange Web Services (EWS) Support

    Add EWS support to Obliterator so that EWS acquisitions can be used as a starting point for Exchange/O365 mailbox remediation.

    ✔ EWS support also includes support for Impersonation. So, a service account can be used to remediate multiple target mailboxes from an Exchange / O365 organization.

    ✔ Both modern authentication and legacy authentication are supported for EWS.

    Output a Separate Remaining Items Log for Retryable Items

    Have Obliterator output two Remaining Items Logs: A list of all remaining items regardless of their status A list of only the remaining items that do not have a permanent error such as 404. The second list can be fed back into Obliterator for subsequent remediation attempts if needed.

    This release contains the following improvements:

     

    ✔ Added support for Gmail API using both OAuth and domain-wide delegation of authority.

    ✔ Improved throttling mitigation for both IMAP and Gmail API.

    ✔ Obliterator now exports a list of remaining items at the end of remediation. The list can be used to start a new remediation session.

    ✔ Running Obliterator for the first time now prompts to install the .Net Framework if needed.

    ✔ Implemented automatic updates.

    ✔ Obliterator is now more flexible with how the message list file should be formatted. Columns can be in any order, and only the 4 essential columns are needed.

    ✔ There is now an option to Skip Hash Comparison. When selected, Obliterator will only use the IMAP folder, UID, and UID validity values to match the messages.

    ✔ Selected settings are now included in the logs.
